Joanne Halligan LIPF
I’m Joanne Halligan, a proud member of the Drogheda Photographic Club, and I’m thrilled to share some recent milestones in my photographic journey. In November 2024, I was honoured to receive a Licentiateship (LIPF) distinction from the Irish Photographic Federation (IPF) at their annual sitting in Thurles—a deeply rewarding recognition.
This year brought another highlight when one of my monochrome prints was selected to represent our club at the IPF National Club Finals in May 2025. It was a privilege to contribute to our team’s remarkable second-place finish, narrowly missing the top spot by just one point.
The achievement feels even more significant knowing we stood toe-to-toe with Catchlight Camera Club, the reigning 2024 FIAP World Cup for Clubs champions. Their global reputation makes our result a testament to the talent and camaraderie within Drogheda photographic club.
None of this would be possible without the encouragement of my fellow club members, whose expertise and support continue to inspire me. As I look ahead, I’m eager to keep exploring new perspectives and sharing the beauty of our world.
