Drogheda Photographic Club Exhibition 2026

You are cordially invited to the opening of our first Drogheda Photographic Club’s Annual Exhibition since Covid 19. Without the grant assistance of Louth County Council Arts Grant this would not be possible. Drogheda Photographic Club established in 1971 and originally catered for both cine and still photography.

We held our first exhibition in 1973, an annual feature interrupted only by the Covid 19. A founder member of the Irish Photographic Federation (IPF), won the title of Best Club in Ireland on at least fifteen occasions at the National Club Championships organised by the IPF.

Winning the Bronze Medal in the Photography Clubs’ World Cup organised by Federation Internationale de L’Art Photographique (FIAP) in 2013, came fifth in the same competition in 2020 and in 2025 we were 3rd place in the world and the best in Ireland.

We cater for a membership of approximately eighty members from Ireland and further afield. From its inception, the main objective of the Drogheda Photographic Club has been to promote and encourage photography in Ireland, north and south and abroad. We have a number of overseas members also. We encourage members to apply for distinctions with the IPF and provide classes each year for individuals who want to improve their photography.

So what more can I say but come to see the exhibition and see for yourself !  Running from 17th to 27th August 2026 with the official opening on 18th August 2026 at 6.30pm.

We have the honour of having Cllr Declan Power to open the exhibition (Mayor of the Borough District of Drogheda)
